Participants will craft and revise original works of poetry during the first workshop period and workshops each other's submission during the second workshop period.

Put Your Finger on It - A Workshop in Criticism

While it’s easy to feel the emotions our senses can elicit, it can be less easy to accurately describe those emotions. In this workshop, participants will spend time with their senses — be it with the sound of music, the observation of visual art, the taste of food — and translate those “gut reactions” to the page. This workshop is led by James Bennett and will meet for five sessions over late June and July. Participants will write their own critical, yet intensely personal, essays about a particular work or cultural experience dear to them.

Dates: Every Thursday from June 17th to July 1st and July 15th to July 22rd

Time: 6:00pm to 7:30pm ET
