The Lampblack Reading Series

Lampblack is very excited to announce that we were selected to be a 2023 Brooklyn Arts Council Local Arts Support grantee! These funds will be used to help launch The Lampblack Reading Series, an in-person reading series at Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts (MoCADA) in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. The events will take place on the third Friday of every month, 6-8 pm, from June to November. Click on the Lampblack Reading Series poster to learn more!

 

The Lit Lantern

Lit Lantern is a an Instagram Live Show hosted by writer Zeus Sumra that will take place on the last Sunday of June, August, October, And December at 1:00 p.m. It will feature the work of an author who has been published in our magazine. It will begin with a 30-minute discussion about the selected work and current practices of the writer, followed by a reading, and a question-and-answer segment. 

 

The Inky Bulb

The Inky Bulb is an Instagram Live Show hosted by poet attorious renée augustin that will takes place on the first Sunday of May, September, and November, and the second Sunday of July, at 1:00 p.m. This year, attorious will be focused on poets from New Jersey - and the differences between writig to perform and writing for the page. There will be an interview and then a reading. Please join us.
